Tesla Repair, Collision & Paint Protection in Eugene & Springfield, OR
Blue Rose Auto works on Teslas the same way we work on every other car. The shop is at 3436 Olympic St in Springfield, about 15 minutes from downtown Eugene.
Our Tesla Services in Eugene & Springfield, OR
Tesla Collision Repair
Dent and scratch removal through frame and casting repair, done to Tesla's procedures as a Tesla Approved Body Shop. We handle the claim with your insurer directly.
Brakes, Suspension & Driveline
Sticking calipers and slide pins, worn control arms, air suspension parts on the S and X, plus half shafts and CV axles. Every car goes up on Tesla's lift points.
Tires & Wheel Alignment
Teslas are heavy and torquey, so they wear tires fast. Tesla recommends a rotation every 6,250 miles, and we align to factory spec after suspension work.
High-Voltage Battery & Drive Unit
Diagnosis and repair of high-voltage battery and drive unit faults, with the system isolated and confirmed dead first. The first 15 minutes of diagnostic time are free, then $100 an hour.
12V, Electrical & Heat Pump
A dead 12V battery stops a Tesla from waking up even with a full pack. We replace it, find the drain, and diagnose heat pump and A/C faults.
Water Leak Repair
Wet carpets or a damp frunk usually trace back to a seal, a blocked drain, or the glass roof. We find the source, fix it, and dry the cabin out.
Paint Protection Film
Clear STEK, HITEK, XPEL, and SunTek film from a partial front to full body, plus color-change and sprayable PPF, backed by our 3-year, 36,000-mile install warranty.
Paint Correction & Headlights
Tesla clear coat swirls easily, so we machine-polish it before film or coating goes on, and we restore hazed headlight lenses.
Ceramic Coating
Ceramic Pro, System X, and Gtechniq coatings over paint or film, so brake dust and grime rinse straight off. We are a Ceramic Pro Certified Elite Dealer.
Window Tint
Geoshield, HITEK, XPEL, and 3M film, cut for Tesla's frameless windows and kept within Oregon's 35% VLT limit on the front side glass.
Wraps & Graphics
Color-change wraps in gloss, matte, or satin, chrome deletes, accent striping, and custom graphics. A wrap covers the factory paint and peels off cleanly later.
Detailing, Odor & Mold
Screen-safe interior cleaning, exterior decontamination and sealant, odor elimination, and mold remediation after a leak, with products that are safe on Tesla's synthetic leather.
Custom Paint & Upgrades
Satin film, a full respray in custom paint, tint shades, and accessories for owners who want their Tesla to look like nobody else's.
Bedliner & Undercoating
Spray-in bedliner for the Cybertruck bed and undercoating for underbody protection, done in the same shop that services the rest of the truck.
Upfitting & Fabrication
Racks, hitches, and work setups for Teslas that haul, tow, or carry gear, from a Model Y roof rack to a fully kitted Cybertruck.

Why Tesla owners around Eugene and Springfield end up at our shop
The closest Tesla Service Center is in Salem, about 65 miles up I-5. The next ones are in Portland and Bend. Tesla's mobile techs can handle some small jobs in your driveway, but anything that needs a lift, a paint booth, or a frame bench means a long drive or a tow.
Blue Rose Auto opened in 1994 as a detail shop in Junction City and fixes cars across Lane County today. A Tesla is still a car. It has brakes, suspension, tires, paint, and an interior that gets dirty. The parts that are different, the high-voltage system, the aluminum structure, the lift points, are the parts we have trained and equipped for.
Every repair carries our 3-year, 36,000-mile parts-and-labor warranty, the same as any other car we work on.

Tesla collision repair
Blue Rose is a Tesla Approved Body Shop. Tesla only lists shops that have the training and equipment to repair its structure to factory procedure, and that matters more on a Tesla than on most cars. Large parts of the body are aluminum, and the newer Model Y uses single large castings where other cars use dozens of welded pieces. Tesla publishes a repair procedure for each structural part. An approved shop follows it. A shop that is not approved is guessing.
We deal with your insurance company directly. You do not have to use the shop your insurer suggests. Oregon law (ORS 746.280) says an insurer cannot require a particular shop as a condition of paying your claim, and the adjuster is required to tell you that.
We repair Tesla body damage from small to major.
- Dent and scratch removal. Parking-lot dings, door edges, keyed paint, bumper scuffs.
- Panel replacement and paint matching. Bumpers, fenders, doors, and hoods replaced and refinished to the factory color.
- Structural and cosmetic restoration. Frame and casting repairs to Tesla's procedure, then the cosmetic finish on top.
After the structural work, a bigger Tesla collision repair usually involves three more steps.
- Camera and sensor calibration. Autopilot cameras and parking sensors have to be recalibrated once anything around them is moved or replaced.
- Paint match. Pearl White Multi-Coat is a three-stage paint, and the newer layered reds take more steps than a solid color, so a paint code lookup alone will not match them.
- Film and coating. If the damaged panels had PPF or ceramic coating, we redo those panels so the repaired section matches the rest of the car.
We handle the same auto body and collision repair on every make at the Springfield shop, and Eugene drivers get the same collision repair with about a 15-minute drive.
Tesla mechanical repair
We do every mechanical job a Tesla needs, skipping only the parts a Tesla does not have, like engine oil, spark plugs, a fuel system, and an exhaust. These are the jobs Tesla owners bring us most often.
Brakes
Regenerative braking does most of the stopping, so Tesla pads last a long time. That creates a different problem. Calipers and slide pins that barely move start to corrode and stick, and a wet Willamette Valley winter speeds that up. Tesla's own maintenance schedule calls for cleaning and lubricating the calipers every 12 months or 12,500 miles in areas that salt their roads. We find seized pins on Teslas from rain and low use alone, and we do the same brake repair on every make.
Suspension, tires, and alignment
A Model Y weighs over two tons and puts its full torque down the moment you touch the pedal. Both of those wear tires fast. Tesla recommends a rotation every 6,250 miles. Most Model S and Model X cars ride on air suspension, which brings its own wear items in the air struts, compressors, and height sensors.
One Tesla-specific detail matters before any of this work starts. The car has to be lifted at its proper lift points, with pads. Lift it in the wrong place and you can damage the battery pack, which is the most expensive part of the car. We lift every Tesla at those points for tire rotation and wheel alignment and suspension and steering repair. We replace Tesla half shafts and CV axles as part of our driveline repair too.

Tesla battery, A/C, and high-voltage repair
12V battery
Every Tesla has a small low-voltage battery alongside the big pack, and when it dies the car will not wake up, even with a full charge. Older Teslas use a lead-acid 12V that tends to fail with little warning. Newer ones moved to lithium-ion. Cybertruck runs a 48V system instead. We test it and replace it, and then find out what drained it, because a dead 12V is often a symptom, the same battery and charging diagnosis we run on every make.
A/C, heat pump, and cabin filters
The Model Y and the 2021-and-later Model 3 heat and cool the cabin with a heat pump, which also manages battery temperature. A weak A/C on a Tesla can be a refrigerant leak, a failed sensor, or a valve problem, and the diagnosis is different from a gas car. We also replace cabin air filters, which Tesla schedules every few years depending on the model, and we handle car A/C repair on every make.
High-voltage battery and drive unit
We diagnose and repair high-voltage battery and drive unit faults. The high-voltage system is isolated and confirmed dead before anyone touches it, and the work is done with insulated tools.
Diagnosis comes first, because a warning on the screen can come from a sensor, a cooling problem, or the pack itself. The first 15 minutes of diagnostic time are free. After that it is $100 an hour, and that time comes off the bill if you go ahead with the repair.
Tesla's battery and drive unit warranty runs 8 years, with a mileage cap that depends on the model. If your car is still inside it, a covered repair costs you nothing at Tesla, so check your dates before paying anyone, us included.
Tesla paint protection film
Paint protection film is a clear urethane layer that bonds over the factory paint and takes the rock chips, road rash, and wash scratches instead. On a Tesla it is the most requested thing we do.
Why Tesla paint chips faster than most cars
Tesla paint is thin. Measured on a gauge, a Fremont-built Model 3 or Model Y often reads in the 90 to 110 micron range across the hood and fenders, where a German sedan of the same year typically reads 120 to 140. The clear coat is also soft, which is why Teslas swirl so easily in an automatic wash and why a single freeway rock leaves a chip you can catch with a fingernail.
Color makes it worse. On Pearl White Multi-Coat every chip shows as a dark speck, because the primer underneath is grey. On Solid Black the swirls show instead. Midnight Silver hides the most.
Then there is the road. I-5 between Eugene and Portland gets chip-seal repairs most summers, and the loose aggregate thrown up in July does more front-end damage in a month than a year of town driving. Highway 126 out to the coast is the other one.
Coverage options
| Coverage | What it covers | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Partial front | Front bumper, 18 to 24 inches of the hood, front fenders, mirror caps | Commuters who want the chip zone handled at the lowest cost |
| Full front | Full hood, full fenders, front bumper, mirror caps, A-pillars | The most common choice. No film line across the middle of the hood |
| Track pack | Full front plus rocker panels, door cups, door edges, rear wheel arches | Cars that see gravel, towing, or track days |
| Full body | Every painted panel | Long-term ownership, resale, or a color worth keeping |
We do not publish a price by tier, because coverage, film brand, and the model all move the number too much for a flat rate to mean anything. Call and we will price it against your car.
Two add-ons matter more on a Tesla than the tier does. The rear bumper loading ledge on a Model Y or Model 3 is the most scuffed panel on the car, and a strip of film there costs very little. The charge port surround gets scratched by the connector every time it goes in at an angle.

Films and Coatings We Install on Teslas
We install XPEL, STEK, SunTek, and HITEK paint protection film, Geoshield, HITEK, XPEL, and 3M window tint, and Ceramic Pro, System X, and Gtechniq ceramic coatings. XPEL Ultimate Plus is our default PPF on Tesla work unless you ask for something else.
XPEL
Our default PPF on Tesla work. Ultimate Plus is gloss with a self-healing topcoat, and Stealth is the same film in satin. We also install XPEL window tint.
STEK
Self-healing paint protection film in gloss or matte finishes. It is a film we use often, and you will see STEK covers on cars in our bay.
SunTek
Ultra Defense is a comparable gloss paint protection film. It is slightly softer, which helps on the tight bumper curves of a Model 3 and Model Y.
HITEK
One of our paint protection film lines and one of our window tint films, so it is an option on both the paint and the glass.
Geoshield
Ceramic window film for the side and rear glass, cutting heat and glare while staying within Oregon's 35% VLT limit up front.
3M
Window film we install alongside Geoshield, HITEK, and XPEL, chosen to suit the car, how dark you want it, and the budget.
Ceramic Pro
Ceramic coating for paint, film, wheels, and glass.
System X
Ceramic coating we apply over paint or film for a slick, easy-wash finish that sheds water and road grime between washes.
Gtechniq
Coatings and glass-care products, often paired with a film or tint job so the paint and the glass get the same protection.
None of them is bulletproof. Film stops chips from stones at freeway speed and it stops wash swirls. A large rock at 70 can still dent the panel underneath.

PPF warranty, install, and aftercare
Our install is covered by the same 3-year, 36,000-mile parts-and-labor warranty as the rest of our work. The film manufacturer's warranty is separate and generally runs ten years against yellowing, cracking, and delamination. Ask any shop for both numbers, because they are different things.
Plan on a day for a full front and two to three days for full body. The paint gets decontaminated and clayed first, and on a used Tesla we usually correct the swirls before film goes on, since film locks in whatever is underneath it.
After install, no pressure washing and no wax for seven days while the adhesive sets. Faint water pockets at the edges clear on their own within a few days. Long term, hand wash beats an automatic, and the brush tunnels on Franklin Boulevard will scuff film edges.
We fit the same paint protection film packages on every make. For a color change with chip protection, we also install color PPF and sprayable color-change PPF.
Tesla Model Y paint correction, filmed in the Springfield shop.
Paint Correction on a Tesla Model Y
Tesla paint is soft and marks easily, which makes correction a careful job rather than a fast one. Blue Rose Auto polished this Model Y in Springfield, and the clip shows the finish under direct light, where swirls normally hide.
Book Tesla ServiceWhat We Watch For on Each Tesla Model
Model 3
One large curved front bumper, so film goes on in fewer pieces with fewer seams. Cars built since 2021 use a heat pump, which changes how we diagnose A/C faults. Regen braking means we check the calipers for sticking.
Model Y
Same front end as the Model 3, but the tailgate loading ledge is the most scuffed panel on the car, so we film it even on partial front jobs. Newer cars use a single rear casting, a Tesla Approved Body Shop repair.
Model Y L
The three-row, six-seat Model Y, delivered in the US since late summer 2026. The front end matches the standard Y, but bigger rockers, rear doors, and quarter panels mean a track pack or full body takes more film.
Model S
A larger hood and longer leading edge, so full front film costs more than on a Model 3. Most cars ride on air suspension, with its own struts and compressor to wear out. Production ended in June 2026, and we still service every one.
Model X
Falcon-wing doors change both the film job and the body work, with the upper door edges and seals as the wear points. It shares the Model S air suspension. Production ended in June 2026, and Tesla and our shop still support it.
Cybertruck
Bare stainless panels, so film is about stains, scratches, and fingerprints rather than chips, and gloss or satin visibly changes the look. It runs a 48V low-voltage system and steer-by-wire. We cover Cybertruck film, wraps, and repair in more depth too.
Why Tesla Owners Choose Blue Rose Auto
- Tesla Approved Body Shop. Tesla vets body shops for training and equipment before listing them. Structural repairs here follow Tesla's own published procedure.
- One shop for every job. Brakes, body work, film, coating, and detailing happen at our Springfield shop, so a collision repair leaves with its PPF and coating already redone.
- Real film and coating brands. STEK, HITEK, XPEL, SunTek, Geoshield, 3M, Ceramic Pro, System X, and Gtechniq. You will know exactly what goes on your car.
- ASE-certified technicians. Every job is handled by ASE-certified technicians who know Tesla lift points, high-voltage safety, and how thin Tesla paint really is.
- A warranty on the work. Our 3-year, 36,000-mile parts-and-labor warranty covers the work itself, separate from Tesla's warranty and the film maker's.
- Insurance handled for you. After a collision we deal with your insurance company directly, and Oregon law says your insurer cannot force you into another shop.

Tesla ceramic coating and window tint
Ceramic coating
Film takes the physical hits. Coating goes on top and makes the surface slick, so brake dust and road grime rinse off instead of bonding. It deepens the gloss, resists chemical staining and UV fade, and makes a weekly wash quicker. Most owners who film the front end coat the whole car so every panel behaves the same. We apply Ceramic Pro, System X, and Gtechniq ceramic coating after a decontamination wash and paint correction, and we are a Ceramic Pro Certified Elite Dealer.
Window tint
The glass roof blocks a lot of heat already. The side glass does not. Tint keeps the cabin cooler in August, cuts glare on a low winter sun, and stops UV from fading the seats and dash. We install Geoshield, HITEK, XPEL, and 3M window film, cut to fit Tesla's frameless windows, and ceramic film blocks up to 99% of UV. Oregon allows 35% VLT on front side windows, and we tint every make for drivers in Eugene and Springfield.
Tesla wraps, detailing, and customization
Wraps
For a color change rather than clear protection, that is vinyl, not PPF. We wrap Teslas in 3M and Avery Dennison film in gloss, matte, satin, and custom finishes.
- Full color-change wraps
- Chrome deletes, which turn the window trim and badges black
- Accent striping and custom graphics
A wrap also covers the paint underneath, and it peels off cleanly when you want the factory color back. We install the same car wraps for Eugene drivers and car wraps in Springfield on every other make.
Detailing
Tesla interiors use synthetic leather and a large touchscreen. Both need products that will not dry out the seats or haze the screen.
- Interior. Vacuuming, stain removal, and screen-safe cleaning (interior detailing)
- Exterior. Hand wash, decontamination, a wax or sealant, and headlight restoration for hazed lenses (exterior detailing)
- Odor and mold. Odor elimination, plus mold remediation and water leak repair if a leak has let water into the cabin
We detail every make for drivers in Eugene and Springfield.
Customization and upgrades
Some owners want the car to look less like every other white Model Y in the Costco lot. Satin XPEL Stealth makes it matte. A color wrap or custom paint changes it entirely. Tint shade, chrome delete, and accent graphics fine-tune the rest. For anything beyond appearance, see custom upgrades. Cybertruck owners can add a spray-in bedliner, and upfitting and fabrication covers racks, hitches, and work setups.

Tesla Service FAQs
Do you work on Tesla high-voltage batteries and drive units?
Yes. We diagnose and repair high-voltage battery and drive unit faults. If your car is still inside Tesla's 8-year battery and drive unit warranty, check that first, because a covered repair is free at Tesla.
Are you a Tesla certified shop?
Blue Rose Auto is a Tesla Approved Body Shop, the certification Tesla issues for structural and cosmetic collision repair to its procedures. Tesla does not run a separate certification program for paint protection film installers.
Will you deal with my insurance company after a Tesla accident?
Yes, we work with your insurer directly. Under Oregon law (ORS 746.280) your insurer cannot require you to use a particular shop.
Will using an independent shop void my Tesla warranty?
No. Federal law does not let a carmaker void a warranty just because the work was done somewhere else. A warranty claim can only be refused if the outside work caused the problem.
Do you still service the Model S and Model X now that Tesla stopped building them?
Yes. Tesla ended production in June 2026 but still supports the cars, and so do we.
How much does Tesla PPF cost?
Too many variables for a flat number online. A partial front on a Model 3 and a full body on a Model X are very different jobs. Call and we will price it against your car.
How long does paint protection film last on a Tesla?
Ten years is the typical film warranty. A well-installed front end usually looks right for seven to ten years. Cars parked outside in full sun age film faster than garaged ones.
Is ceramic coating worth it on a Tesla, or should I get PPF?
Both, if the budget allows. Film stops rock chips. Coating keeps brake dust, tree sap, and grime from bonding and adds gloss. If you can only do one and you drive I-5, do the film.
Does Tesla window tint block heat and UV?
Yes. Ceramic film from Geoshield, HITEK, XPEL, or 3M blocks up to 99% of UV and cuts a lot of heat through the side glass. We cut it to fit Tesla's frameless windows, within Oregon's 35% limit on the front side windows.
Will a vinyl wrap damage my Tesla's paint?
Not on factory paint in good condition. The wrap goes on over clean paint and comes off with heat when you want the original color back. Repainted panels are the exception, because fresh paint can lift with the vinyl.
Can you work on a Cybertruck?
Yes, mechanical, collision, and film. The stainless panels are not painted, so film there is about stain and scratch resistance rather than chip protection.
Do you install film on a new Tesla before the miles add up?
Yes, and that is the best time, because there are no chips to seal under the film yet. ---
